The Spring Block Party, held in late April or early May, is the street festival that kicks off the festival season in Baltimore. The party takes place along the north side of the Cross Street Market in the heart of Federal Hill. And that's what it is, a party! Ten or more bands play on two stages throughout the day as we celebrate the coming of Spring. $5 admission.
The Jazz & Blues Festival, held in June, takes place on S. Charles Street, between West and Hamburg. This festival invites you to listen to the cool sounds of Baltimore's best live jazz and blues as you sample a delectable array of food and libations and peruse booths of unique hand-made jewelry, fine art, antiques, crafts and more. Bring the kids for live performances and lots of hands-on fun in the popular Little Ones Lane section on Cross Street, along the south side of the Market. FREE ADMISSION.
The Street Beat Festival, held in September, is the last and biggest Federal Hill festival of the year. The festival is held on S. Charles Street between West and Hamburg and Cross Street on both sides of the Market. Fifteen or more bands play on three stages throughout the day, featuring an eclectic mix of jazz, blues, rock, salsa, reggae, and more. Stroll along the tree-lined streets of Historic Federal Hill, eat, drink, browse among the many booths in a celebration of city living. FREE ADMISSION.
During the festivals, children can enjoy games and other activities at the popular Little Ones Lane.
